The Yellow represents this thread of energy or life. As an artist, one needs to purge ideas as an evaluation mechanism. The question is...to elevate or disintegrate. I was walking to car from picking up Japanese take-out and saw these balls shining out of the brush. Sometimes you have to listen to the Universe for inspiration when it's like...so apparent.

I was driving and saw three ladies on a hill, picking suckles and branches. Dressed in turbans and dhirndls, it looked like a tear-out of a Corsican sunset. Orange+Grey+Black+Yellow= Hot Asphalt. Later, I saw a man walking a decorated horse down the highway.

To quote myself: "I really appreciate their generosity, but I'm still weary about their fabric (as well as other NC suppliers). My goal is for TYKAI INC to be a verically integrated company. Ideally with fibe...r/product/labor/ creativity from my birthstate...NC. Unfortunately, everything is polyester, or feels like it. The silks are course-not fluid; the cottons-sturdy not sumptuous; and worst-the feathers are crafty marabou. I F'N hate marabou! For TYKAI to be the brand that I envision it, I demand quality fabrics. You can tell the difference between a designer silk and a random store bought. It caresses your skin differently!
For this state to be an epicenter of agriculture and research, we REALLY need to step up our fabric quality and variety. It leads you to HAVE TO outsource to sustain business- without sacrificing quality [and that my friends is not sustainable vertical integration]."

As the season of solstice approaches (although Summer has unofficially kicked off), I have decided to start my blog...YAY!!! An artist is like a wardrobe. He/ she must access one's self then STYLISHLY expand to fit their current needs. Right now, Lord Tykai loves skirts. No, I'm not cross dressing (I got through that phase when I was a teen sneaking into clubs or hanging out with crowds much older than myself). I enjoy being a man and this is my interpretation of what a modern man is. There are those who choose to live in the confines of society for a sense of security or acceptance; Then, there are those who embrace who they are without question. It's not not saying that one is greater or less than the other...It's just saying LIVE HAPPILY in whomever you choose to be. I could deliver a poignant speech on how happy I am or how amazing life and living it is, but instead, I'll let the photos do the talking. Allow the excerpts from Christian D.
